With a leading network of around 2,600 sites throughout Germany, Aral is number one in Europe’s largest retail fuels market; Aral also offers the ‘Aral CardPlus’ and ‘Aral CardTruck’ fuelcards. Established in Bochum in 1898 as a provider of quality fuels and lubricants, in 1924 Aral developed the first ever ‘super grade’ fuel in the world, blended from a combination of aromatics and aliphates, giving the company its name "Aral". In 2002, Aral became the retail brand of Deutsche BP.
